A WEEKEND ROYAL ICING WITH CERI GRIFFITHS
We are so pleased to be hosting a weekend class with Ceri Griffiths, the International Teacher, Judge, Award Winning Author, Show Host and TV personality. Ceri started life in catering as a trainee chef, then decided to change his focus and went on to complete his three year bakery and confectionary training in the city of his birth, Cardiff. It was obvious to his teachers and fellow students that cake decoration and design was the thing he was meant to do and when Ceri graduated in 1980 with distinctions he immediately started working as a cake decorator and confectioner.
Ceri first reached the public eye in 2008 when his competition entries were regularly winning gold
medals and Blue ribbons, his work then started appearing in International magazines. Nowadays you are more likely to find Ceri at an airport than in a bakery, he says he has been blessed with a gift that he loves to share and a career that he's passionate about. With his calendar looking more like a travel brochure than a work schedule there are many influences Ceri draws upon when designing. The magic of teaching is now his biggest reward, he says that seeing the look on a students face when they finish their class project is beyond money, the moment when they turn to him and say 'I can't believe I did that' is the true thank you for being a good teacher
This course is held in our new teaching facility “The Studio”. Free Car parking is available very nearby. “The Studio” is situated within yards of the local Bus Station and Taxi Rank, with only a 5 minute walk to the Train Station
